Build for Unity 2024 Recap

Our 2024 Build for Unity event took place in Oak Park.  Despite the cold weather, hundreds of participants from diverse backgrounds joined together to raise funds and provide the volunteer support needed to build decent, safe and affordable housing for low-income families.  Please check out the Build for Unity 2024 recap video below or click here to see our photo album.

Heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful interfaith volunteers who gathered in unity and gave of their time and spirit to support Habitat’s mission!

Build for Unity History

In 2016, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento hosted the inaugural Build for Unity event that gathered together 180 individuals from various Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Jewish, Sikh and other faith organizations to help fund and build Habitat homes as a symbolic representation of interfaith unity.  Since that first-ever, inspirational Build for Unity event in Sacramento, over 30 cities across the U.S. now host Build for Unity events during World Interfaith Harmony Week that promote positive interfaith impact and support the mission of Habitat for Humanity to build homes, hope and communities for families in need of shelter and stability.
